Lars Ulrich, a Danish-American musician, songwriter, record producer, and best known as the drummer and co-founder of Metallica. He was born into an upper-middle-class family in Denmark, a son and a grandson of tennis players, but instead of playing tennis, he played drums. He was also known as the pioneer of fast thrash drum beats.
