The song Feel Good Inc. was released on 9 May 2005 as the lead single of their second studio album Demon Days featuring the American hip-hop group De La Soul. This popular song has been certified double-platinum in the United Kingdom, and platinum in Australia. In the 2006 Grammy Awards, the song was nominated for three Grammys, including Record of the Year, but it won for Best Pop Collaboration.

With a tempo of 138 bpm, the drums were played by James Dring. Aside from Gorillaz, he also worked with Lana Del Ray, Blur and some other artists.
