His strong urge to become a musician had Roger forming his first band at the age of 7. Called ‘The Bubblingover Boys,’ the band had Roger playing the ukulele.
Smile to Queen
In the late 1960s, Taylor‘s musical aspirations led him to join Smile, a London-based band featuring guitarist Brian May and vocalist Tim Staffell. This collaboration laid the foundation for what would later become one of the most iconic rock bands in history – Queen.
