We have just learned about the release of the new Roland TM-2 sound module designed to make your acoustic drum kit electronic.
Description
Powered by batteries (up to four hours of autonomy with four AA batteries) or the provided power adapter, the TM-2 offers a simple solution to enhance an acoustic drum kit with electronic drum or percussion sounds. Two trigger inputs allow you to connect a wide variety of Roland pads and sensors, enabling you to access professional, ready-to-use sounds designed to enrich your acoustic sound on stage. The high-quality multi-effects can be applied to each kit, and you can even trigger your own WAV format sounds, loops, and playbacks stored on an SDHC card. By combining the TM-2 with products like the BT-1 trigger bar, KT-10 kick trigger pedal, or the RT series acoustic drum sensors, you can easily and affordably create a powerful hybrid kit that blends acoustic and electronic sounds.

All the Sounds You Desire
It’s easy to trigger your own sounds with the TM-2: studio-processed drum sounds, song tracks, sound effects, drum loops, and even full playbacks. Simply copy the corresponding WAV files from your computer to an SDHC card and insert it into the module’s dedicated port. You can then instantly use your own sounds in the same way as the module’s sounds within your kit, and also apply the TM-2’s excellent multi-effects to them.
