The tragic song Last Kiss was originally recorded in 1961 by Wayne Cochran. The song was covered by Pearl Jam for their charity album No Boundaries: A Benefit for the Kosovar Refugees in 1999. It was also included in their album Lost Dogs in 2003. Their version became successful especially in Australia where the song topped the ARIA Singles Chart for seven weeks. It was also a big hit in Iceland, United States, and Canada. The song has a tempo of 112 bpm.
Matt Cameron, Pearl Jam’s drummer, ranked 52nd on Rolling Stone’s list of 100 Greatest Drummers of All Time in 2016, and was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on 7 April 2017 as a member of Pearl Jam.
