After witnessing a jazz band performed in a deserted pub in Deptford, South London wherein the lead singer announced that they were the Sultans of Swing, Mark Knopfler was inspired to write the song where he found the contrasts between the band’s dowdy appearance and surroundings, and their amusing name.

Drum Cover – Guns N’ Roses – Knocking On Heaven’s Door

Written and originally sung by Bob Dylan, the Guns n’ Roses’ live version of the song Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door was released on the maxi-single of Welcome To The Jungle in 1987 when they started to include the song in their live sets.

Drum Cover – Natalie Imbruglia – Torn

Best known as Natalie Imbruglia’s debut single hit in 1997, the song Torn was written in 1993 as a solo song for Preven. Cutler and Preven’s band Ednaswap performed it live. Recorded first by Danish singer Lis Sorensen (1993), then in 1995 Ednaswap released a recorded version, and also in 1996 by American-Norwegian singer Trine Rein.
