Tirée de l’album Ramones, la chanson Blitzkrieg Bop est sortie en 1976. Écrite principalement par Tommy Ramone (le batteur des Ramones) et Dee Dee Ramone (le bassiste), la chanson est devenue l’un des hymnes punk rock les plus emblématiques de tous les temps. Inspiré par la bubblegum pop des années 1960, le surf rock et la puissance brute de groupes comme les Stooges et le MC5, lui et Dee Dee ont créé une chanson courte, explosive et irrésistiblement entraînante.
